Being alive you know suffering, mental emotional suffering. It goes with the territory.

When you have had enough of it you look for something real you can do about it. After the patchwork of answers that don’t answer much for long you have to get down to earth. Literally.

That’s what I do. I practise and teach a form of meditation that can be described as of the Earth.

It’s really very simple. There is mind and there is sense, one is not the other. Mind is the thought and emotion that keeps you from a sense of freedom. Sense begins with the sensation of the body that gives rise to the senses where you simply enjoy being in existence.

It is possible to seperate the two realities, albeit relatively. The way it works is by you taking control of what you give your attention to. The simple sense of being or the trouble of mind. The more you focus on one the more you get of it. Check this, if you give rein to your unhappy thoughts of anger or resentment what happens? You get more angry or resentful.

The same is true for sense, of the Earth, nature. The more you give your attention to sense, knowing what you are doing, the more sense it makes. And sense is a pleasure, plain and simple.

It’s not easy but you only need to be willing to stop going with the momentum of the mind to think. It just requires your willingness to break the habit of mind to burgeon at will.
