Who I Am

Posted by Mark on February 1st, 2008

Welcome

My name is Mark Berkery. I am almost too old to be mowing an acre of lawn with a push mower, but not quite. I love being where I am, living in the N.E. corner of NSW in Australia. A lovely natural place to live.

I enjoy just doing the little things. Things like feeding the two cats I look after, one for a friend and one that came with the house, so they are trouble free and don’t eat the local wildlife. Like keeping the Cane Toad’s numbers down, and all that implies to the indigenous wildlife, so the lovely green tree frogs can have a chance to populate the place.

Walking and hiking in the nature, taking pictures with the camera and writing up my observations. Sitting is also my practice at different times throughout the day. And a hundred other ordinary things.

These are the simple things I love. This, plus the impulse and motivation behind, is who I am.

Peace is a place inside where the quiet calls from.

This blog is my contribution to that.
