Nature's Place

Candy Colour

There’s a sedative bush in the garden that these little creatures just love to death.

Everytime this bush produces leaves these creatures love it to death.

And then it rises from the ashes again and they love it to death again.

This has been going on for years – love, death, love, death, love, death.

It could be that one always leads to the other and neither is what it seems.

Love, death, love, death, love, death …

Life, love, death …

Love, death, life …

Death, life, love …

Beautiful! The second one is a great pose. Your photos are way better – especially since mine was dead, but if you’re curious, here’s a focus stacked high res shot of the same insect I believe…

As you are fond of saying, “click on the picture for a proper look.”
I think this one was found near the Mojave desert.

Yes, alive is usually better than dead. To the living anyway … :-)

Stacks look good but they don’t have to be dead to do it. I don’t stack, but check out LordV on https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/board/45 who sometimes does short hand-held stacks of live creatures in their habitat.
