From a walk in the local bush in SE Brisbane today, Venman NP.

A delicately frilled flower, exotically formed, with the power of attraction.

Thank you for posting the flower and the link, Mark! I have never seen a bloom like this…the frills are so unique…looks like it should be floating under water. And the center really does look like a crab spider! :)

Beautiful, the way it looks like feathers ore some Anthozoa under water, but it’s a lily, I guess?
