Fabulous shot, Mark. I love how you caught him “cradling” the bloom. Wishing you happiness in your new home. 🙂

Thanks Jane. Yes, I think I can call this ‘home’. For now … :-)

Welcome back, Mark! Your new place sounds wonderful! :)
I love how the dragonfly appears to be cupping the blossom!

Thanks Laura. It is really nice to sit under cover in the garden after a rainy day and have the sun go down behind the greenery while the willy wagtail calls out his pleasure at the fresh water in his bath bowl.

The dragonfly was from a very different environment. Patrolling his territorial rights to the pond, for mating and laying purposes, he bit off a little more than he could chew on a very windy day. I helped him up. :-)

Gorgeous colors in this shot, Mark! And your new place — acreage, not far from the sea — sounds lovely. Congratulations!

Thanks Cate. It seems I can rest a little while here now.

Beautiful, Mark! Hope your new place is full of inspiration.

Thanks Sheila. The new place is great, a small comfortable place on acreage not far from the sea and close to anything I’d need – SE Brisbane.

I have yet to explore the immediate surrounds but I already know the area. And all the rain we’ve been having bodes well for the smaller exotic life forms.

One of the things I love about this place, any place, is I never really know what’s next.

A bit like the way I garden, it’s a pleasure waiting for the seedling to identify itself.

A touch of the mystery …
