    maybe mark & reader of nature’s place enjoy video of jumping spider what have name peacock spider. even Lady who not like spider enjoy dance of male peacock spider 100 %. here link.

      Thanks Mr Monkey. I have seen other less ornamented jumping spiders act the same, signalling to each other over distance in the leaf litter.

        Must be such a thrill to actually find someone of the opposite sex at that size in this great big world. No wonder they make sure they are visible. Then…you just hope to high heavens that they like you!

          I think they find each other easy enough, by an inner sense far superior to the outer. Then the work begins … but at least they don’t have any past getting in the way – the way of natural creatures.

    Wow. Enjoyed the link and journey back through the collection of spiders. Saved a few pics for the desktop. Some of them sure reminded me of crabs (very distant relatives).
