Fantastic image, Mark. Such great clarity and colors.

Are they out already? It is looking quite in control of the situation.

Indeed, absolutely no self doubt in these creatures.

I would like to know if these bugs are less intelligent than flying insects?! One often has the feeling that this is the case. What they don’t have of course is the ability to fly and the intelligence apparatus for that, and their eyes are not very well developed either as it seems.
In Germany one often says describing a chicken as “the stupid chicken”. But research has revealed, that they aren’t stupid at all. For example they make friends with each other.
This discovery of course means that these animals should be treated differently. That’s probably why it didn’t become so well known.

Hi Gerhard. These can fly. I understand what you are saying about intelligence in creatures requiring respect according to their place in the hierarchy. And how the evidence of intelligence in the smaller creatures is hidden to protect the delicate moral fibre (if that’s what it is) of the human psyche, or the profit margin. But what do you do when you see intelligence in all things anyway. :-)

😉and who really knows…I kind of like the idea that were all interdependent and I sure wish there were more humans that thought like that.😊
