Nature's Place

Clarity …

… for peace of mind.

Walking on water, or is it thin ice … either way it’s a balancing act by a consummate hunter.

I will be hosting a Meetup – Nature Meditation, Clarity for Peace of Mind

Click on the link above and it will take you to the listing, for the rundown on what it’s about. If you are local to SE Brisbane (or not) and interested let me know or just show up. All are welcome.

For now, it will happen every Wednesday at 10.30am at Brisbane Koala Bushland, and we’ll see how it goes. But check first, before turning up.

Other dates, days, times and locations are being considered and suggestions by interested parties are welcome.

My email address is in the contact page above right, or click this sentence.

Hi Mark, love the sound of the meditation sessions but alas, unable to attend. I do my own daily walking photographing meditation in our forest yard. Lovely to think of others doing the same with you. Love the beautiful spider walking on water…s/he looks like s/he’s reflecting on your words (sorry, poor pun)…a meditating moment maybe???

Thanks Dee. It’s what we make it, isn’t it. When we can.

The huntsman is my all time favourite spider, Mark, although I do have a hankering to meet a peacock spider also. Our family loved your photo.
I will be with you there in spirit at your meet-up, but am afraid it is a little too far for me to attend in perso. I am happy to share the event on my blog if you would be willing for me to do that?
    Regards.
    Tracy.

Thanks Tracy, it is good of you to offer but only if you think it would serve your own audience. Otherwise it’s not necessary, I think.

In all my time doing macro I haven’t seen a peacock spider. I know they’re about though. One day …

I hope you have your camera then, Mark. :)
Also, I’ve included a link to this post on my blog.

Thanks Tracy, appreciated. The disclaimer is a nice touch. :-) Gotta be so careful these days, any days.

The small creatures are mostly hibernating in the recent cold snap, at least conserving their energy and won’t be wasting it out and about with little prospect of eating.

Despite the disclaimer, I would be showing up if I lived in the vicinity. I don’t “do” meditation, but still I find it nice to close one’s eyes and listen and breathe when in the great outdoors.
Haven’t seen many bugs outdoors in icy Canberra either, Mark. They prefer to live in my car or indoors. My husband found a huntsman on my laptop the other morning. My laptop was plugged in at the time so it must have been radiating some warmth. 😊

Listen and breathe is a form of meditation, even if we don’t call it that. It comes in many forms that help towards clarity or peace of mind.

There are a few flies in my garden, still. Tough little creatures that can fly to available sunshine when it’s out, and tuck away out of the cold when needs be.

We had a huge dung beetle die off in the drought, Mark. Fly numbers exploded as a result so there are a still a few hanging around here too.
