Nature's Place

Hello Darling

Every jumping spider is looking for love. If you look, you’ll see them in the undergrowth waving to their potential mate, and he chasing her down, if she will allow.

Or every spider is being spider, including the love in spider – there is love in all things, without the impediment of psychological divisions into me and mine and this and that, for and against …

Spider doesn’t suffer from the human condition, thanks be to … But neither can they make conscious love, nor love conscious.

An actor, i know well, when asked about hav ing a coffee, always answered: “yes, of course”, whether it was day or night. 😃

Have another coffee mate, or a brandy. :-)

I wanted to draw a somewhat funny parallel between the excessive coffee drinker and the always on love spider. :-)

That’s the rub, isn’t it. Also with the possibility of conscious exquisite love comes the sufferance from the human condition. Ah, the simple life of a spider looking for love. Thank you Mark. As always. Thank you

I would put it the other way around. Love comes from us knowing what is not love. Because who wants what is not love will eventually suffer from it, because where love doesn’t come first there is pain and suffering, until love comes first. Because, when you can’t give up, what else is there but love, to love and be loved.

Is there really anything else of value in this world? Put it this way, we can do without anything but love. But we have to have our experience of everything else first, unfortunately, or not – since it’s the way it is, and the way it is is the will, or life or god, or whatever its called where you are.

      Thanks Susan.

I suspect the spider’s actual disposition toward love may be superior to the human’s aspiration. Sweet image and reflection, Mark.

It could be that the spider lures the female to get her food.

Superior in the sense the spider doesn’t complicate love with thinking and emotion. Spider loves …

But they can never make love conscious, by having to negate what is not love, as we do through the pain of our often dreadful and destructive human nature – it drives us to drink first and then to love, if we’re lucky.

      Thanks Cate.
