Nature's Place

Face 2 Face

Here’s looking back at ya.

And down on ya.

From the side of ya.

And up at ya. … Ya is good. … Ya …

The next day I found the stick insect clinging to a beam under the verandah roof.

It was still and didn’t object when I brought it down to return it to different trees.

Where big geckos hang out at night probably wasn’t the best place for sticky.

And a few shots on the way, can’t ignore opportunities coming into autumn.

I totally agree with you… there is no ‘ugly’ in nature…

Yes indeed, judgement is only in the perceiver.

I’m with you on the ‘no ugly in nature’ Mark and I think your photos and words prove just that! Thanks for these latest beautiful photos and words.

What is the bio name of this “yucky”?i want to google and find more info because you deviate from the subject 😁

What is the subject but nature. And what nature is there but ‘my’ nature – all that I can see that makes up ‘me’, whoever I am.

      No idea of bio name.

Wow! Those eyes are amazing, I think macro photos are a real gift, they allow us to study things we never could otherwise.

No matter how small we go there is the detail of form. Amazing nature.

It’s great to be able to see one with your talent for detail. There are a half-dozen or so in the Auckland zoo here but there’s no way to view them intimately. Seen up close here, they always look like they’re licking their lips after eating something like a hot fudge sundae!

Well, food is very close to the heart of any creature so lip licking is a regular exercise for all.

I rather see the enigmatic smile creatures with no (mental emotional) problem display. It’s just behind the form, when I pull back from focusing on the part.

Isn’t it frustrating to discover plenty of likes and then find that no one, or much less, actually viewed your pics and posts. A simple look at the stats page can reveal a lot.

I love this little guy. He’s so perfect and yet so ugly. And those eyes…they look like nails enjoying a ride.

Now, to catch up on some of your previous posts I so sadly missed while taking some timeout in my garden.

    Have a great Easter.

Stats??? When nobody looks I’ll probably go on posting for a while. Maybe one day, while taking photos in the garden, I’ll just topple over from the weight of cosmic dust on my back aided by old old grey grey age.

I just don’t see ‘ugly’ in nature. More a judgement of mind in opposition to ‘something else’ – no actuality I can see.

      All the best …
